Sunderland Symphony Orchestra is entering a new and exciting phase in the charity's eighteenth year since its formation for the Millennium celebrations, supported by Sunderland City Council.

The Orchestra's "Coming of Age" project, financed by Arts Council England, is bringing new partnerships, a new outreach music and instrumental education programme for school children, and varied concerts in a wider variety of performance spaces. The voluntary orchestra offers support for progression in orchestral engagement across the city. Our impact is becoming recognised as important to developing a thirst for orchestral music in and around Sunderland.

Do join us to continue the celebrations at our Summer and Autumn concerts.
